SEISMIC DATA FOR BLAKE PLATEAU

Data Announcement 1976-X

The National Geophysical Data Center (now the National Centers for Environmental Information) currently is making available CDP data which were collected in 1975 during a joint U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) - Institute Francais du Petrole (IFP) program. The cooperative effort resulted in the collection of approximately 1200 nautical miles of 24-channel CDP data.

The data were processed by Campagnie Generale de Geophysique (CGG). Processing included amplitude recovery, muting, normal moveout corrections, 1400% stacking, time variable filtering, and trace equalization. The scales are 0.2 sec/cm vertically and 20 shotpoints/cm horizontally. Although the sections are of good quality, much of the associated documentation is in French and is of poor quality for reproducing. The documentation includes: a shotpoint map (scale - 10 cm/degree), hyperbolic Loran-C listings (on microfiche), and velocity profiles (marginally reproduceable).

Line numbers FC 1 - FC 10 are available in sepia or blackline. Please call for prices. For ordering information contact:
