The May 15-18, 2011 meeting of the Curators of Marine and Lacustrine Geological Samples was held at Brockenhurst, Hampshire, hosted by the British Ocean Sediment Core Research Facility (BOSCORF).

Many presentations and minutes from the meeting wrap up session are now available. More presentations and photographs may be available at a later date - please check this web page again.

The group toured the BOSCORF core repository and attended a reception hosted by GEOTEK where they were given information on the latest MSCL technology.

The May meeting was the first meeting of the Curators to be hosted outside the U.S. and included representatives from the Antarctic Marine Geology Research Facility Florida State University (AMGRF), BOSCORF, the Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Cientificas (CSIC) Spain, the Institut Francais de Recherche pour l'Exploitation de la Mer (IFREMER), the Integrated Ocean Drilling Program (IODP), the Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory (LDEO), the Muséum National d'Histoire Naturelle, Paris, the National Lacustrine Core Repository (LacCore), the National University of Ireland, Natural Resources Canada (NRCAN), Oregon State University (OSU), the Scripps Institution of Oceanography (SIO), the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) repositores in Menlo Park and Woods Hole, and the National Geophysical Data Center (NGDC).
