| Comments: | In Situ Rock taken from same chimney was 042, but closer to base. Grayer in color, heavy bacterial mat, gray filaments. Lab Dark gray friable part of black smoker, minor pyrite with sulfates (anhydrite/barite?). Exterior has white filament bacteria. |
