This is the aareadme.1st file in the directory: \software\geovu\unix_sun

This version may work on BOTH Solaris and SunOS.

Read the aareadme.2nd file for installation instructions.

The geovutar.z file should be renamed geovu.tar.Z when copied to
the GeoVu working directory on your workstation.

The xkeysym.db file may be of interest to a Sun system manager.  It
suggests possible GeoVu settings for the .XKeysymDB file..

The GEOVUTAR.Z file should be renamed to Geovu.tar.Z when copied to a
UNIX workstation.

The following files should be copied to the GeoVu software working
directory (e.g. ~/geovu)

gut_gvi1.men
gut_gvi2.men
avhrrcli.lst

Next, change to the GeoVu software working directory (e.g. ~/geovu) and
execute the following command:

chmod 777 *.men
