This is Volume 3 in the Global Change Data Base:
Editor David Hastings, NOAA/NESDIS National Geophysical Data Center, Boulder, Colorado

The files document.wp5, document.ws7, document.doc, document.ps and document.asc are Word Perfect 5.1, Word Star 7, Microsoft Word 6, Adobe PostScript and ASCII (respectively) versions of a manuscript published in the Bulletin of the American Meteorological Society that describe the entire data set as presented in Disc 1. A HTML version of this documentation is also available.

These data have been resampled from Disc 1's holdings, to enhance their use with the ancillary data (in the \data\ncillary directory of this Disc 2). These data are resampled to 1080 rows by 2160 columns. Areas north of 75 degrees north and south of 55 degrees south latitude (that are not covered in the original data) have been filled with zeros to improve compatibility with the data in \data\ncillary, which are fully global in extent.
