This is Volume 3 in the Global Change Data Base:
Editor David Hastings, NOAA/NESDIS National Geophysical Data Center, Boulder, Colorado

The names of these subdirectories are named as follows:

1. AVHRRCLRG: the climatological data from AVHRR resampled from the data in the AVHRRCLI directory contained on the other CD in this set. The data are stored in the \DATA\AVHRRCLRG directory.

2. NCILLARY: Other names of ancillary data from the Global Ecosystems Database and other integrations from the NOAA National Geophysical Data Center are named to fit the file names in the \DATA\NCILLARY directory.

For example, TBASE describes the TerrainBase digital elevation model, listed under \DATA\NCILLARY as TBASE.

For example, LC describes Leemans and Cramer's climatological data, listed under \DATA\NCILLARY as LCxxxmm (e.g. LCCLD06).

Exceptions: GEDUSER is the Global Ecosystems Users Guide, describing the development of the overall Global Ecosystems Database Project, under which most of the ancilary data were integrated. GEDADOC is the documentation manual for the Global Ecosystems Database, DISC A, which contains additional documentation about most of the ancillary data contained here. (Global Ecosystems Database, DISC B is currently in review for future publication.)
