Whatizzit? These 60-frame animations of the rotating globe was produced on a Macintosh IIfx, using StrataVision-3d to wrap images created from a 5-minute gridded (latitude x longitude) data base of topography and ocean depths from the NOAA National Geophysical Data Center. Computing the rendered animation series took 21 hours on the Mac fx in 24-bit color. (Files with names ending in ".8" are dithered to 8 bits). Sound is from Nautilus CD-ROMs public-domain sample tracks. Image generation and base image software by: Dr. Peter W.
