Well logs and auxiliary information for 3 additional privately drilled test wells are available from the National Geophysical Data Center (NGDC) (now the National Centers for Environmental Information (NCEI)). These data were generated by private companies from exploratory oil and gas wells. The two Massachusetts wells were drilled on leases that have been relinquished and the New Jersey well was drilled on a lease that has expired. The data were released to NGDC (now NCEI) by the Minerals Management Service (MMS), U.S. Department of Interior for public dissemination. A summary of the types of well logs and auxiliary information now available for these wells is given below.
