MULTICHANNEL COMMON DEPTH POINT (CDP)
SEISMIC REFLECTION DATA
Additional Atlantic Survey Lines - TD 1 through 6

Data Announcement 81-MGG-13

Additional multichannel seismic reflection data collected as part of a program by the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) to survey the geological framework of U.S. coastal areas for purchase.

Approximately 3,700 km of profiles were collected between August 15 and October 30, 1977 by Teledyne Exploration Company under USGS contract 14-08-000-1-16209. Teledyne used a four 540- in(cubed) (8,850-cm(cubed)) air-gun array as a source and a 3,600 meter-long receiving streamer.

Teledyne processed lines TD-1, TD-3, TD-4, TD-5, and parts of TD-2. The USGS processed parts of TD-2 and all of TD-6. Most data were processed with 48-fold stacking. Details of the processing are contained in the corresponding USGS Open File Report 81-726 by Lewis E. Gilbert and William P. Dillon.

DATA AVAILABILITY

Lines: TD-1, TD-2, TD-3, TD-4, TD-5, and TD-6 are available on plastic sepia, paper sepia, and blackline.

The following documentation is provided with each line:

        - location maps (sepia or blackline)
        - velocity proviles (microfilm)
        - shot-point listings (microfilm)
        - copy of supportive USGS Open File Report

The shot-point locations are also available on magnetic tape or CD-ROM. contact:
